A Mother Goose Parade by Justin C. Cruelle
"I remember my fifth birthday, November 24, 1929. My
father, Justin C. Gruelle, younger brother of Johnny Gruelle, creator of Raggedy
Ann and Andy, gave me the first copy of his own book, A Mother Goose Parade. My
brother and I had watched him create the pencil drawings which he painted with
water colors, from stories my mother had told us. Now, eighty years later,
this facsimile copy of A Mother Goose Parade has come to life in recognition of
my father's lifetime work. It is hoped that this book will recapture the
excitement it generated in 1929." Jayne Gruelle Comerford, Bandon, Oregon
